1998~ I started my nursing education with a Diploma in Nursing at Queens University Belfast. This is where I had my first experience in midwifery, I fell in love instantly but there was a path I had to follow to achieve this dream.

2001~ I stayed at Queens University and completed an advance nursing degree. I had to work in nursing for 2 years before I could apply for Midwifery. I worked in Orthopedics.

2003~ I went Back to Queens University to become a midwife. I worked in this profession for over 18 years, I gained experience in midwifery led units, consultant led units, antenatal, postnatal and community care, including home births.

2020~ I changed course and went to
University of Ulster to gain a Post-Grad specialising in Public Health
Nursing which led me into Health Visiting. This gave me a better work life balance as a busy mum of 3, no more night duty, on calls, weekend shifts, or Christmas day duty.

2023~ I missed midwifery, I
realised many parents were suffering birth trauma, they were unprepared. I knew the benefits of Hypnobirthing and antenatal education, I wanted to empower parents and help them prepare for birth to improve their experiences and birth outcomes.
.

I felt there was a lack of services for families in my area so I studied again, this time so I could teach the art of baby massage to parents, reduce feelings of isolation and build a community of supportive parents.
